Renee is a rare Nashville native and is one of four siblings. You could find her holding a baby from a young age. She has always been a nurturer and helper. She always had an affinity for birth and loved watching birth shows. She was a preschool teacher, nanny, as well as a piano teacher in high school. She originally went to college to be a nurse, but was steered into a different direction after studying abroad and gaining different experiences.

After she got married to her best friend and started having babies, she began learning more in depth about birth. She knew she wanted a doula to support her.

After her first birth and experience with her doula, she knew that one day she wanted to support women in pregnancy and labor as she had been.

With each of her own birth experiences, she gained a deeper understanding of the amazing process that a woman goes through during birth. In 2015, she acquired a barre certification and taught piano to kids from all different age ranges. Her experience encouraging women to move their bodies and maintain their strength has helped her understand how mental tenacity contributes to a healthy pregnancy and birth.

Renee went on to complete her doula training and certification and quickly became immersed in all things birth. Her heart for women is for them to feel held and supported no matter their goals. She desires to come alongside women as they surrender to their body’s natural processes. She believes with each birth, the mother experiences rebirth as well. It's beautiful. It’s hard. It’s  the best work a woman will ever do.

When she's not supporting women in birth, she loves taking yoga and barre, spending time outdoors with her four kids, and spending time with her hubby.
