We all have our love and Jill’s is anything to do with education, birth, breastfeeding, and care for the family after delivery. To see someone excited about their upcoming birth or taking care of their newborn, gives Jill energy.

“To think that  something you shared with an expecting parent before or after delivery helped calm fears and bring joy about their birth, is truly the best gift you can give to me.”

Jill is a registered nurse and just finished 32 years in the hospital setting.  She has 20 years of NICU experience with 12 years in assisting with lactation and childbirth education.  When Jill and her husband started their family, they took Lamaze classes and yes, panting and breathing (the who-who-who, hee-hee method) was a big part of Lamaze then. Jill used natural techniques for the births of her children, which only made her more curious about natural birth techniques. This led to being certified in Lamaze and HypnoBirthing and educating many expecting families.

Seeing the need for support after delivery, Jill was part of the start up of the breastfeeding support group, at St Thomas Midtown.  “Many mothers just need a place where they can be with other mothers as they navigate this new journey.”  This endeavor led to wanting to know more about breastfeeding, and before too long she was a Certified Lactation Counselor.

Jill has been married for 30 years to an amazing supportive husband.  They have 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl.  They call themselves the Bennett 6, but now are the Bennett 7 with the addition of their beautiful daughter in law.
