Born at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and raised in Franklin, Tennessee, Caroline Andrews is a true Nashville Native! Having married her high school sweetheart, Caroline soon found herself pregnant with their first child while in college. After a disappointing prenatal experience with an obstetrician, the young couple decided to transition to the midwifery model of care where they felt encouraged to make healthy decisions for their fledgling family. At 36 weeks Caroline delivered their first baby boy at the East End Women’s Health Center, Nashville’s only freestanding birth center at the time. While raising a family at a young age, Caroline found the support and encouragement of older, wiser women invaluable to her self-confidence as a mother. After birthing their fourth and final child at home, Caroline decided to pursue her professional passion of serving the mother on her journey into motherhood and supporting families as they transition to this new chapter in life. Caroline received her Birth Doula Certification through DONA International in March 2020 and is proud to continue the tradition of doula service in the greater Nashville area.

“The psychological growth of pregnancy and birth leaves an indelible mark on our brains. When we are nurtured and supported throughout our birthing experience, we can draw on those memories to give us strength and find our power as women and mothers. The birthing care team has a sacred duty to provide non-judgemental and supportive care to the families we serve so that they, in turn, can confidently nurture their new gift of life.”

Caroline is married to local photographer and podcaster, Tyler Andrews. They both enjoy crossword puzzles and date night. Caroline has been blessed with their three boys and one daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys practicing yoga, reading, good friends, and playing board games with her family.
