Asha was born in North Carolina and raised in Cincinnati,OH. She grew up close to her family. She always loved caring for children and knew someday she wanted to be a mom. Growing up her mother always told her she was going to be a doctor and deliver babies.

Asha’s mother saw something in her (even at a young age) and knew that one day she would be helping people bring their babies into this world.

Asha became a doula shortly after the birth of her first son. Her labor was hard and long and she really needed the extra support that a doula offers. This spurred her on to want to do the same for other parents. She wanted to make sure parents were heard and not looked over and that the pregnant person felt empowered. She wanted to make sure that no matter what the birthing person's preferences, whether it be for an unmedicated birth or a scheduled c-section- that the family felt supported in their choices.

Breastfeeding was something Asha always knew she wanted to do. After her own difficulties and triumphs with breastfeeding, she enjoyed the bond so much. This is what set her on the path to begin breastfeeding counseling and what lead Asha to get her certification for Certified Lactation Counselor.

Outside of the birth and breastfeeding world Asha enjoys the lake. She loves a good book, but nowadays it has to be on audio or she can’t get through it with 2 little boys running around and her young daughter. She also loves a drinking a warm cup of coffee and binging a good Netflix series.
